On the occasion of CSIR-CIMAP Annual Day, students of Yashraj Institute of Pharmacy, Lucknow had the unique opportunity to visit the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR-CIMAP) — a premier national research institute under CSIR, Govt. of India.
This visit was designed to provide our students with practical exposure beyond classroom learning and to inspire them to connect theory with research-driven applications.

• Gained insights into medicinal properties of plants such as:
🌱 Lemongrass – used in malaria treatment
🌱 Cinchona – source of quinine for malaria cure
🌱 Digitalis – widely used as a cardiotonic
• Explored advanced research laboratories and ongoing scientific projects.
• Visited the Medicinal Garden housing diverse medicinal plants with healthcare applications.
• Learned about the role of medicinal and aromatic plants in pharmaceuticals, perfumery, and healthcare industries.
