Students from Thakur Yugraj Singh Pharmacy College recently embarked on a five-day industrial-cum-leisure tour to Himachal Pradesh, blending academic enrichment with memorable experiences. As part of the visit, students explored Baddi — India’s pharmaceutical manufacturing hub, home to leading companies like Dr. Morepen and Alventa Pharma. During the industrial visits, they gained valuable exposure to manufacturing processes, quality control techniques, formulation development, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) that define modern pharmaceutical production.
The students also delved into core areas of Pharmaceutics, such as:
• Formulation and Development – understanding how active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are transformed into effective dosage forms.
• Quality Assurance & Control – ensuring every product meets stringent quality benchmarks.
• Packaging and Regulatory Compliance – essential stages before medicines reach patients.
Beyond academics, the tour offered moments of relaxation and exploration as students visited Atal Tunnel, Rohtang Pass, and other scenic destinations, creating the perfect blend of learning and leisure.
Such experiential learning initiatives bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and industry practice, empowering our students to become the next generation of pharmacy professionals.
